The First Selectman is Killingworth's chief executive and administrative officer, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the town, reviewing the current and future needs of the town and planning for their fulfillment, working on behalf of the town at the regional and state level, and ensuring that the town government adheres to our charter and complies with applicable laws and rules. The First Selectman serves as chairman of the Board of Selectmen, as police chief, and in other roles assigned by statute to the chief executive of the town.

The Electors of the Town of Killingworth are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling places in said town on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, for the following purposes:

I. To cast their votes for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Secretary of the State, Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General and Judge of Probate.
II. To vote on the following questions for the approval or disapproval of a proposed AMENDMENT to the Constitution of Connecticut, a vote of "YES" being a vote for approval, and a vote of "NO" being a vote for disapproval:
1. Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide for early voting?

The full text of such proposed questions with explanatory text, printed in accordance with §2-30a of the General Statutes, is available at the town clerk's office for public distribution.

Bids on a price per cubic yard (delivered) basis must be received at the Killingworth Office of the Selectmen by 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2022. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the Bid.

The successful Bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract Price.

The successful Bidder shall comply with the requirements of Prevailing Wage Rate Laws in accordance with Section 31-51 of the Connecticut General Statutes.

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Killingworth, that the second installment of Real Estate and Personal Property taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2017, is due and payable on January 1, 2019. Motor Vehicle Supplemental tax bills are also due on January 1, 2019 in one installment.

If not paid on or before February 1, 2019, the installment becomes delinquent and subject to interest at a rate of 18% per annum (1 ½ % for each month or fraction thereof) dating back to the original due date of the bill. Two months of interest will be due on February 2, 2019. A minimum interest charge of $2.00 is applicable to each delinquent tax bill.
